Breakdown help on Florida’s Turnpike

The Turnpike is the backbone of western Miami-Dade for us: it passes Homestead and Florida City at the south, runs past Princeton, The Hammocks, Kendale Lakes, Tamiami, Sweetwater and Doral, and continues north past Miramar, Pembroke Pines and Weston into Broward.

Breakdowns on Florida’s Turnpike are the calls where location details matter most: shoulder or lane, which direction, and the nearest exit or cross street. Our dispatch base in south Miami-Dade means arrival times vary along the corridor — the dispatcher quotes the real ETA for your exact spot when you call.

If you break down on this road

1. Signal and get to the right shoulder — or the nearest exit or side street if the car still rolls.
2. Hazards on. At night or in rain, stay inside with your belt on if traffic is moving fast beside you.
3. Call (786) 818-2259 or message us on WhatsApp — give the road name, your direction of travel and the nearest exit, mile marker or cross street.
4. Tell dispatch if the vehicle is in a lane, on a narrow shoulder or anywhere traffic cannot safely pass — that changes how the truck approaches.
5. If law enforcement or a road ranger arrives first, let them know a truck is already dispatched.
